Today it's my turn to contribute to Victoria of sfgirlbybay's wonderful blog it forward project, writing a post about what inspires me. And what inspires me is the poetry in the everyday. There are instants in each day, small moments in time, that can give us so much in the way of beauty, pleasure and — yes — inspiration. It might be afternoon sunlight falling on a glass of water, a stranger's sudden graceful gesture, a friend's laugh — or a glimpse of a deep red dress against a white wall. These images here are, to me, evocative of this sense of the ephemeral beauty that surrounds us. All we have to do is pay attention.
