- It is in the city of Asahikawa on Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost main island, that you'll find a house devoted to a dream. Of a Porsche 911, actually. The businessman owner longs to own one some day, and in the meantime requested Jun Igarashi Architects to build him a house where he could gaze at that Porsche — one that Igarashi honoured by placing an extra wide doorway between the living room and garage. The rest of the house is just as remarkable, consisting of 11 boxes clustered around two courtyards — all featuring a minimalist aesthetic (and plenty of room for his wife and child to entertain themselves when the businessman admires his new car).
