Today I'm admiring The Girl, a costume design for the 1950 ballet The Witch by John Cranko. Drawn by the fascinating Dorothea Tanning, this delicately lovely ink and gouche drawing on dark blue paper definitely transcends its original use — it's a work of art all on its own.
