- Located in the heart of Soho, the home and studio of the renowned artist Alex Katz truly is one of the original New York factory artist lofts. Originally a machine shop in what he describes as an "industrial slum", it was purchased by Katz in 1968 for a sum that is the equivalent of one month's rent there now. Here he and his wife and muse Ada live, work and entertain in their elegantly spare space. Love. More here on Architectural Digest.
