- Mexico City-based real estate developer and self-taught architect Miguel Ángel Aragonés has designed a lovely minimalist home for his family in the Bosques de las Lomas neighborhood — one that's an oasis of peace in the centre of a busy city. Influenced by his idols, the late Mexican modernists Luis Barragán and his protégé Ricardo Legorreta, Aragonés took their architectural lessons to heart but omitted their bold use of colour, opting for a pure white that emphasizes natural light and form. The building itself is divided into two parts, with the living quarters above and the studio where he works with his wife Ana and architect son Rafael below. A lovely place to both live and create.
