Today I'm admiring the truly lovely work of the New York-based Belgian-Congolese artist Kito Mbiango. Drawing on his photographic background and wide-ranging travels, Kito's transfer paintings are a fascinating blend of Eastern and Western cultures, using collage and assemblage techniques pioneered by Robert Rauschenberg.
