- The Amsterdam apartment of Dutch stylist San Ming may be small, but its strikingly simple palette of cream and black give it a depth and richness that makes its size an advantage, allowing the eye to focus on its exquisite details. Wood paneling in black and white, well placed niches and mirrors make an interesting backdrop to the carefully chosen pieces of modern furniture. The whole effect has rather a feeling of 1930s modernism, which makes sense when you see San Ming himself — always dressed as a dandy of the '30s, complete with wire-rimmed glasses, tweed jacket and vest, an ever present cigarette as accessory. Love this. More here.
