Nestled deep in the Jämtland mountains, this modern weekend retreat was inspired by early 1900s Swedish Tourist Association cabins — it's built in traditional log cabin fashion, with a few modern perks such as a more open interior and a geothermal floor to keep it cosy in winter. It's the perfect escape from the demands of family farm life for its older owners, who are now cutting back on their workload so they can enjoy more time at their beautiful retreat — both on their own and for family holiday celebrations.
