    In Praise of Pippi Longstocking
    The fantastic children's lit blog tygertale has a wonderful appreciation of anarchic heroine Pippi Longstocking, author Astrid Lindgren's reaction to the conformity in Swedish society at the time. It features Drawn and Quarterly's sumptuous new reissue of the 1958 Pippi Longstocking comics with illustrations by the original artist, Ingrid Vang Nyman — painstakingly restored to their original brilliant colour.
