    Farewell to a Fashion Original
The brilliantly eccentric fashion editor and writer Anna Piaggi passed away at the age of 81 this week — in her honour, here's a slide show of Anna, as photographed by David Bailey and styled by Camille Bidault-Waddinton.
    Four Medals and Forgotten Glory
A story from the London Olympics — the one held in 1948 — and the brilliant Dutch athlete Fanny Blankers-Koen, who won four gold medals in track and field, a feat she achieved while three months pregnant with her third child. Amazing.
    The Way We Ate
Fascinating personal project by two New York-based photographers, Noah Fecks and Paul Wagtouicz — each month they select one vintage Gourmet magazine from their complete collection of all 815 issues and cook several recipes, along the way rediscovering how America ate in the 20th century. Via Anthology Magazine.
In the Trees: 20th Anniversary Photos of Twin Peaks
This is actually from a year or so ago, but it's still really cool — an exhibition of photos by Richard Beymer, taken on the set of David Lynch's groundbreaking series Twin Peaks. You can still purchase limited edition prints from the show, too.
    Anything Goes
Fashion pictorial from Vogue featuring Keith Richards and Patti Hansen and their kids, grandkids and other extended family members modeling bohemian-inspired clothes for photographer Bruce Weber at their Turks and Caicos retreat. Rather sweet to see what a close knit family they are.
A Treasure Trove of Edward Gorey
Exciting news for fans of Edward Gorey — Pomegranate is publishing brand new editions of The Osbick Bird and Thoughtful Alphabets: The Just Dessert & The Deadly Blotter this fall, and there's currently at least three exhibitions of his work on, too.
10 Movies You Didn't Realize Were Based on Books
Check out this interesting list that includes Psycho, Die Hard, Rambo, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and six other films with surprising literary roots.
Pan Roasted Red Snapper with Summer Couscous
Another lovely recipe from Roost — I'm especially intrigued by the Summer Couscous, which is actually made with cauliflower. Such a clever idea.
