- After a chance meeting on a half empty bus to the Tokyo airport and an email or two, Michael Maharam and Sabine Steinmair married and settled into the New York loft apartment they now call home. Their appreciation for art and design is everywhere — new baby Frankie Slim sleeps in a cradle designed in 1963 by Nanna Ditzel that also happens to be a collector's item, like most of the furnishings in here. Michael's serious view of objects as art is balanced out by Sabine's more pragmatic one — she believes that these items were made to be used and enjoyed as well as to be admired. Love how relaxed and effortless this space looks. More here. Via AT Casa.
