- Architect duo Karin and Francis Leopold Fauconnet transformed a nondescript apartment into a serene zen-inspired space that flows from light to dark — pale-toned living areas retain their Haussmann ceiling moldings, while more intimate areas are in deep warm tones, encouraging calm and relaxation. The engineer client also wanted the latest in technology, but not on view — heating is under the floor and devices and switches have been discreetly hidden away. The result is a calm retreat that's still connected to the world at the touch of a button. More about it here on Marie Claire Maison.
