- Tucked away in the Paris suburbs, over the last twenty years the apartment of Véronique and François has slowly expanded just as their family has — they now have four children. When they first purchased their space on the first floor, it was because they fell for the building's Art Deco details. Over the years they've changed jobs and moved up, purchasing the apartment above them and moving the walls here and there, gradually changing their home into a charming duplex with a mezzanine, a landscaped garden terrace, a veranda — and two staircases. Pretty wall colours add interest and also define the rooms, while family heirlooms such as the portraits of ancestors under glass and an 18th century chandelier add a sense of history to their modern space.
