Rustic Modern Christmas
  • This charming thatched half timbered house in North Zealand, Denmark was originally built in 1913, but not much of the original structure is left — in 1939 it underwent a major refurbishment, which surprisingly enough was handled by the functionalist architect Arne Jacobsen. His trademark simplicity worked well with the rustic style of the house, opening up the interior and adding a small bay window, a covered terrace and a new staircase. Nowadays it's the home of the fashion designer Jeanett Ulrich and her family, who enjoy being in the countryside — especially at Christmas, when their home really shines. More here on Bo Bedre.
