- The Rio apartment of architect Lawrence Croissandeau takes its inspiration from the groovy modernism of the 1960s, starting with the living room, where a striking fresco on the wall, inspired by the work of designer Verner Panton, sets the mood for the home. Classic furniture by Eero Saarinen, Achille Castiglioni and other design giants appears everywhere, but though the pieces are vintage, the openness of the space and confident use of colour and pattern create a mood of timeless modernism.
