- To me, these delicately beautiful sculptures by artist Noriko Ambe resemble the extraordinary forms carved into rock by wind and water. In fact, they're made of paper — each individually cut free-hand and then stacked together. Noriko describes these pieces from her Linear-Actions Cutting Project as her life work — begun in 1999, they are continually being added to through the years. For Noriko, they embody relationships among humans, time and nature. View more on her site here.
