- I had a sweet email from Bryce of Black Sheep White Light in Toronto recently — knowing that I'm a huge fan of Scandinavian decor, he thought I'd be interested in his company, which imports beautiful and eco-friendly Icelandic sheepskins. Processed according to strict EU directives on environmental preservation and protection, these sheepskins are free of the chromium and bleaches often used in the tanning process, making them safe to use not just in the living area, but for baby's crib (or your pup's basket) too — here in chilly Canada, I've seen a lot of them used in strollers to insulate little ones against the cold. Available in white, black, spotted, shorn or grey versions here, they're a lovely warm accent for a modern home. And — a portion of sales goes towards helping the homeless, too.
