- When Sophie Paulsson and Robert Ash moved into their three room apartment in Tågaborg, it was in good condition but the decor was dated and not at all their style. Luckily they had a landlord who was sympathetic — after consultation, he gave them the ok to renovate their space according to their own tastes. Sophie and Robert are keen collectors of vintage — they love the patina found on old things, and feel each one tells a story — so they strove for a rustic finish to their space. Regular visitors to flea markets and garage sales, one such trip resulted in the American 50's theme for the kitchen, thanks to the old Coca Cola machine they discovered. Now that they have their home to their liking, they've set their sights on the future — they dream of renovating an industrial space for their next home, and plan to start selling the vintage furniture they've collected over time (much of it is stored in a barn on a farm for now). Their story of driving home with an old linen closet precariously balanced on a small Toyota sounds like one of many to follow! Read more (in Swedish) here on Hus & Hem.
