The English Ghost
Jonathan Barnes of the TLS has a wonderful review of Peter Ackroyd's new book The English Ghost, which gathers together almost a hundred testimonies (ranging over several centuries) from those who claim to have witnessed the unexplainable. Scholarly and carefully detached in its approach, it nonetheless makes for some seriously spooky autumn evening reading.

Supermodels for Solar Power
