- The great Russian film director Andrei Tarkovsky, best known here for his films Andrei Rublev, Solaris (remade several years ago in the US with George Clooney), The Mirror, and Stalker, was also interested in Polaroid photography. These photos, taken in the late 1970s at home and in Italy, demonstrate what a great eye he had, even when using a simple (and frequently unpredictable) camera such as the Polaroid. Beautiful. These are just a few of my (many) favourite images — you can see more here. Via John of AffenHaus Design (thanks so much!)
