The essence of summer to me is heat. I am a real fan of hot weather and living in San Francisco I don't get as much as I'd like. Illustrator Lauren Nassef does an amazing job of capturing moments in time through her drawings, and she's got a series of drawings that capture the experience of taking in the summer heat. This particular drawing, entitled "Sunbathers" is one of my favorites. I'd love to be laying in the hot air right now like these two, except maybe under a tree.
