OSS 117: Lost in Rio
This French spy comedy sounds totally fun. Hubert Bonisseur de la Bath (aka OSS 117) is the Cold War era James Bond-like hero of Jean Bruce's lengthy series of spy novels from the 1960s. Needless to say, his attitudes have not dated well, which is where the comedy lies — and by playing it straight with the source, director Michel Hazanavicius makes it funny. I'm going to see if I can rent this over the weekend...
