- When I first started automatism I used to do a post now and then about books I admire, but with one thing and another I've fallen out of the habit. So when I saw this lovely new cookbook from Phaidon Press, I immediately thought it was a perfect time to start up the Bookshelf again. Recipes from an Italian Summer is made up of over 400 unpublished recipes from The Silver Spoon collection — and anything that emphasizes seasonal produce and can inspire me to get beyond the usual summer repertoire of salads sounds perfect to me. Kinda fell for that lovely cover design, too!
