- Architect Nicolas Vignot retained the industrial spirit of the original space when he transformed an old 48 square metre boiler shop into a modern loft-style apartment that also functions as a photography studio. Using metal and glass swinging panels, the space can be opened up when needed, or be scaled down into more private areas quickly while still allowing the natural light from the windows to permeate the entire apartment. The result feels much more spacious than it actually is — a tribute to the innovative cleverness of the architect. Details (in French) here. Via Marie Claire Maison.
