- Kareem Rizk is a Melbourne based Australian artist whose working mediums include collage, acrylic, oil pastel, pencil, solvent transfers and acrylic transfers as well as digital collage. His beautiful work is highly textured and multi-layered, with a nostalgic and weathered quality. Kareem exhibits his work all over the world — he's had solo shows and group shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Los Angeles, Washington DC, London, Barcelona and Milan as well as large format displays in Rio De Janeiro and Sao Paulo. And if you've fallen in love with his work as much as I have but aren't able to make it out to one of his shows, you're in luck — Kareem sells prints of his wonderful work online at The Suitcase, his Etsy shop.Jennifer and design partner Gina bring a fresh green approach to decorating with Lift Your Spirits, their interior design company. Transforming homes by repurposing and reusing what a client already owns as well as shopping for items to add (or suggesting the best sources for them), Lift Your Spirits works within a client's budget and taste to bring out the best of their personal style. The company works in real time in the San Francisco bay area between San Mateo and San Jose, but also offers virtual design solutions, too. You can find out more with a visit to their website, and you can pick up lots of great redesign tips and see actual case studies on Jennifer's new blog, too.
Bonus! For the month of June, Jennifer is generously offering automatism readers an opportunity to have one free interior design question answered about their home! It could be a question about color, furniture placement, or solutions for storage, to name a few common design problems. A wonderful chance to have a professional's help resolving that awkward corner in the house!
