The instinct to collect is one of our earliest and most basic impulses, with the collecting of food in anticipation of lean months ahead being the most obvious example. But we collect for other reasons too, such as for beauty, or out of nostalgia, or for simple amusement. I'd like to share my occasional collection discoveries with you in a new section here called Miscellany.
